Hurricane Florence was devastating to North Carolina. For us, is was a rough ride mainly because of the amount of rain and toward the end, the local flooding. The original path predictions had the hurricane tracking directly over us. Later however the path was predicted go head south, west then north effectively circling us. What actually happened was that the hurricane actually started to track south but as it did so, it dissipated and spread with the northerly, onshore bands effectively remaining across North Carolina. This kept the rain coming.
Local Flooding
Drone video of the local flooding (no audio).
Weather Radar
Here are the radar shots of the weather as we went through the hurricane. The worst weather for us was at the tail end of the hurricane when we had flash flooding although obviously the ground was completely saturated by then.
